Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Pizza sauce, for dipping

  • Optional toppings: sliced pepperoni, diced bell peppers, sliced olives, etc.

Directions

  • Prepare the Cauliflower:
Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Once tender, transfer the cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Channel your inner Gordon Ramsay and ensure to squeeze out as much excess moisture as possible. Ramsay would say, “It’s crucial to get rid of all that excess water to achieve a perfectly crispy pizza bite!”
  • Make the Pizza Bite Mixture:
In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower until it reaches a rice-like consistency. Ramsay would insist on achieving a fine texture, ensuring a smooth and cohesive pizza bite.
Transfer the cauliflower to a large mixing bowl. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix vigorously until well combined. Ramsay would encourage you to use your hands for this step, emphasizing the importance of getting your hands dirty to truly mix the ingredients together.
  • Shape and Bake the Pizza Bites:
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the cauliflower mixture and roll them into balls. Ramsay would stress the importance of uniformity in size to ensure even cooking.
Flatten each cauliflower ball into small discs, resembling mini pizza crusts, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Ramsay would remind you to leave enough space between each pizza bite to allow for proper airflow and even browning.
Bake the pizza bites in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Ramsay would insist on checking for that perfect golden color and crisp texture, ensuring they’re cooked to perfection.
  • Serve with Style:
Transfer the cauliflower pizza bites to a serving platter. Ramsay would recommend serving them piping hot, straight from the oven.
Accompany the pizza bites with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. Ramsay would encourage you to add a touch of flair with a sprinkle of fresh herbs or a drizzle of olive oil.
If desired, garnish with your favorite toppings, such as sliced pepperoni or diced bell peppers, to add visual appeal and extra flavor.
Enjoy your Gordon Ramsay-style cauliflower pizza bites!
