Ingredients
2 cups of Water
2 cups of White vinegar
5 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp of Sugar
1 tbsp of Himalayan salt
Sliced cucumbers (1 English Cucumber)
1/4 cup Fresh dill
Crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to your preferred level of spiciness)
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, sugar, himalayan salt and crushed red pepper flakes.
Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. - Allow the brine to simmer for a few minutes to infuse the flavors and until salt and sugar has dissolved. Then, remove it from heat and let it cool for jus a few minutes.
- In a clean, heatproof jar or container, layer the sliced cucumbers, garlic and fresh dill. Make sure you fill the jar all the way to the top.
- Pour the slightly cooled brine, along with the crushed red pepper flakes, over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Let the pickles cool completely at room temperature.
- Once cooled, cover the jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
